Continue Communication with Clients and Customers

In this scenario, staying silent will make you lose customers. Keep regular interaction by sending out emails, updating your websites, chatbots, blogs, etc

Your customers will want to know the store/business policy for the safety of employees, refund policy of products, changes in event or store operation, availability of team members for solving queries, etc.

Do keep a regular interaction to retain your existing customer base.

Go More Social

Considering the current scenario, almost everyone is working from home and are more socially active, businesses should stay more active on Social Media Channels like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

This will help to maintain engagement with customers and also drive traffic to the website/business. It will help you understand what your audience is talking about and help you with ideas to stand out from your competitor.

Find Alternative Ways to Deliver your Products/Services

Let’s say you are selling bed sheets in a store. You can assign your team members to sell them online. Your customers can be made aware that they do not need to come to the store instead they can have a live chat and your team members will be able to help them with their queries. You can sell them on Facebook, Instagram or create a website.

Create Marketing budget and run ads on Google, Facebook or Instagram. Select your target audience and share ads with them. This will help in the continuity of your business as well as your customer’s are satisfied that they are able to purchase from you online in the crisis situation. Assure your customers about the hygiene of the product and delivery.

Re-evaluate your Marketing Campaigns

I am sure everyone has their planned campaigns for the coming days. Hold them back and create new campaigns that help your customers in the crisis. Check the images, videos, and text of your campaigns. They should not hurt the sentiments of the people. Try to make it more attractive as per the scenario.

Businesses like healthcare, online learning, technology companies, etc will be more in demand. Make sure you use the situation in the best interests of the people.

Pause launch of new products,if any, depending on the type of product/service being launched.

Write Blogs

Businesses can write blogs to express their safety measures for employees and customers. You can write about your own experience in dealing with the crisis situation or talk about new features to be launched in your product or service.

This will help in engagement with your audience.

Conclusion

Do not try to mislead customers or take advantage of the current situation. Don’t give false information which would eventually lead to loss of customers or talk about something you don’t know in a public forum.

In this current scenario, try to make the utmost use of Digital Marketing in helping your customers to retain their trust and loyalty. Stores having only physical visibility must adapt to Digital Marketing techniques.

I would be happy to help you with your thoughts and queries.

  2. This is so helpful, it’s important to keep in touch with our customers, our readers, or other people we serve. Is it possible to think outside the box when times are changing? It can feel like we have no control over our surroundings, but by asking “how can I look at this as an opportunity for growth” will put us back in the driver’s seat. Keep in touch, make adjustments.

    1. Hi,
      Thank you for your response.
When times are changing, it is necessary to change ourselves and adapt to the situation. Always see the positive side and it will help you.
Many big brands are still leveraging the benefits to the customers in some or the other way.
      Always look for opportunities.
      Regards
